How we protect your report card 🖤

A note from the desk of Our Love Grade. This page explains how the product handles your report — it is not a legal Privacy Policy.

Hidden until you both turn it in

Your Monthly Pulse, grades, Extra Credit selections, and Final Notes are never shown to your partner until both of you have submitted your report cards. Access is enforced on the server — not just hidden in the interface.

Private access, not a public profile

A Love Report Card is meant for the two people who filled it out. There are no public couple profiles, no social feed, no leaderboard, and no place for strangers to weigh in on your relationship.

Secure partner links

We use secure random links to invite the second partner. If you need to re-send the invite to a different person, resetting Partner Access immediately invalidates the previous link and creates a new one — as long as your partner hasn't already submitted.

Sign in the way you prefer

You can continue with Google, create an account with any email address and a password, or ask for a secure sign-in link. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored in readable form. Using the same verified email keeps you in the same account no matter which method you choose, and we never tell your partner how you signed in.

Public sharing is a summary, never the report

The official Share flow creates a separate, limited card: the month, your overall Love Grade, your Love GPA, an optional Honor Roll label, an optional couple nickname, and an optional short caption. Subject grades, Different Perspectives, Extra Credit, Final Notes, partner comments and custom notes are never included, and the public link cannot reach the private report.

Before anything is published you must accept two separate warnings and approve the exact preview. Your partner is notified immediately, with the list of fields that were included. The card is labelled "Shared by one participant" unless both of you have separately approved it. The participant who created a share can revoke it at any time, and the public link stops working straight away.

Screenshots, honestly

This report is private, but screenshots cannot be fully prevented on phones or computers. We do what we reasonably can — a subtle watermark on private views, no search-engine indexing, no link previews of private content, and printing of private reports is disabled — but none of that replaces two people choosing to protect each other's privacy. Watermarks never contain an email address, an access token, or an invite code.

Yearbook notes are opt-in

Ratings and Yearbook Notes stay internal unless you explicitly check the anonymous-sharing box. Signing in helps us confirm each note comes from a real person; your social profile is never shown publicly. Even with consent, notes go through moderation first and never include partner names, grades, Extra Credit requests, or private answers. You can withdraw publication permission any time before a note is approved. Facebook and Instagram sign-in appear only if and when an official integration is supported — we will never show a button that doesn't really work.

Data deletion, honestly explained

A shared Love Report Card depends on two private perspectives. If a participant asks us to delete their data, the shared reports connected to that participant are permanently deleted — which means the other partner may lose access to those shared reports. We notify the other partner that a shared report was deleted, but we do not disclose who asked or share any private answers.

What we don't do

We don't diagnose your relationship. We don't rank couples. We don't sell your private answers. Our Love Grade is not therapy, counseling, or professional relationship advice.
